-
Making Proper Choices Using Cognitive/Reality Approach
Cognitive or reality approach pertains to the approach of decision-making where critical thinking, analytical skills, and evaluation of the information is given a premium consideration. It is generally an objective way of looking into choices and coming up with an informed decision. An effective cognitive approach requires support, which can include educational resources and training.
-
Community Building
Establishing community ties requires a lot of collaboration, teamwork, and support. To bring people together, build relationships, and foster a sense of belonging in a supportive environment, young people may need to involve themselves in social events or volunteer programs.
-
Employment Readiness
Helping the youth to be employment ready means equipping them with the skills, training, and, if possible, experience, so they can succeed in the workforce. Job training programs, career counseling, and access to employment opportunities are some ways to help them.
-
Health
Ensuring that the youth are in a good state of mind and physical health necessitates professionals to look after them when possible. Because many young people do not have healthy coping mechanisms from the get-go, they need education on healthy lifestyle choices, resources for mental health support, and access to healthcare services.
-
Economic/ Financial Planning
The youth needs support in financial planning, so they can map out their direction as early as possible. Preparing them for this matter will shape them to become better adults in the future, with their finances and economic future being managed right. Supporting them to learn these skills includes addressing poverty issues and giving them access to economic opportunities.
